Leeteuk has sacrificed so much for his members and his fandom. Every time he’s on stage he breaks into tears because he’s just so happy to be loved, and he loves his fans with just as much force. Because of Leeteuk there’s this everlasting connection between ELFs and Super Junior. He does everything he possibly can to be near us, stay with us, and perform for us.

He doesn’t want to go to army just because he simply doesn’t want to. He doesn’t want to go because he can’t bear the thought of leaving us.

Yesterday at Inkigayo, Leeteuk saw hundreds of fans outside. And he made his manager buy ice cream for every single person standing outside in the summer heat using his very own credit card. 400 ice cream bars. Not just for ELF, but every other fandom included.

Leeteuk isn’t a spotlight-stealing member, everyone just gives it to him because he shines due to the radiance of his neverending love for ELF. Whenever he gets mad at his members, he apologizes soon after. He apologizes for not understanding even when perhaps it is the fellow member who is wrong. But he doesn’t care. He loves his members more than himself, and that it is not him who matters, but Super Junior.

My friend used to dislike Leeteuk because she found him arrogant. That used to irk me so much. Later I realized a good majority thought the same way. But Super Junior cannot possibly exist without Leeteuk. There would not be so much love mediating between ELF and Super Junior without him. He is such a loving person, and even he himself doesn’t know it. Leeteuk never gives himself enough credit, and although he wants to be strong, there are times when the leader feels overwhelmed.

I want him to know that we’ll always be here for him. I don’t want him to go to the army. Super Junior is nothing without Park Jungsoo, and neither is ELF.

So you’re wrong. Very wrong.
